I have a hard time training legs. I avoid leg day because of injuries to my ankle/leg (Mini Stroke And warehouse accident). Mostly residual
minor pain. KT helps with walking and bike.
What can I do to strengthen my legs without reinjuring my leg.

Start low weight, high rep. Escalate slowly up to high weight low rep. Avoid stuff that hurts.
Pretty much what you should do with all injuries. Almost always, if it doesn't hurt it strenghtens muscles that help you go higher in weight without pain.

Tough for any non-medical professional to answer really. What have you tried that hasn’t worked? Can you go light & high reps? Extensions/Curls can isolate away from ankle problems at least.
